Environment. Lesson 5

What Happens to Used Coffee?
After making coffee, most people throw away the used coffee grounds. But did you know they can be recycled? Coffee grounds can be turned into useful products. Some companies use them to make compost for plants. Others turn them into fuel, soap, or even building materials!

Coffee cups are also a problem. Many paper cups have plastic inside, so they are hard to recycle. Some places now use reusable or fully recyclable cups to reduce waste.

Recycling coffee products helps reduce trash and protects the environment. It’s a simple way to make coffee more eco-friendly.
