The trembling stopped, and Mei Ling found herself face-to-face with the lion mask figure. “Return the dragon, or the town will lose its prosperity forever,” the figure warned.
Mei Ling demanded answers, but the figure vanished into thin air. She grabbed the Jade Dragon, but the lantern’s flame flared bright red.
A deep, echoing voice said, “The curse is not lifted yet.” Suddenly, the walls of the tunnel began to close in around her.
