Well, there are two pictures *in front of me, and now I am going * to compare and contrast them. To begin with, I’d like to say that both pictures are related * to one theme. I’d like to start with describing the first picture. It shows a person who is doing smth.

To begin with, I’d like to say that both pictures seem very similar. Both photos are showing girls who are reading.
I’d like to start with describing the first picture. It looks like a girl is reading something from her iPad. As for the second picture, it shows another girl reading a book.
First of all, I think they are both avid readers. You can see that they are really carried away by reading, and they don't really pay attention to what is happening around them, I guess it must be a good book. I wonder what they are reading - seems very interesting to me. They look quite similar as well - young, beautiful and intelligent.
However, if you take a closer look, you can’t help noticing some differences. In the first picture the girl has brown wavy hair while in the right-hand photo the girl has reddish-brown hair. In the first photo, the style of her clothing is rather feminine, as oposed to second photo - her style is a bit boyish. Secondly, the type of book is diffrent. In the first picture the girl is reading an e-book downloaded into her iPad while in the other one the girl is reading a paper-book.
As for me, I’d prefer e-books to paper-books, because a lot of e-books can be easily downloaded from the Internet for free, and in addition to it, they are more comfortable to read and carry with you, in case you are travelling.
In conclusion, I’d like to say that reading is a good way to spend free time no matter what way of reading you choose.
