Let's read a story about Hogmanay - Scottish New Year.

Ben and Lila first Hogmanay

Ben learned about first-footing, a Hogmanay tradition. “It’s good luck if the first visitor brings gifts,” his teacher said. Ben grabbed cookies and knocked on his neighbor’s door. He was called “Best first-foot ever!”
And Lila found out they sing “Auld Lang Syne” at Hogmanay.
“It’s for remembering old friends and times,” her grandpa explained.
She sang it loudly, hugging her cat. Lila tried to sing as well, but it was too high-pitched for her!
